Whether it’s Jay-Z and Beyonce, Anderson Cooper, Jon Stewart, Lady Gaga, ever-irascible Alec Baldwin, or even the legendary David Bowie (a favorite downtown NYC celebrity sighting), the denizens of New York have grown spoiled from constantly bumping into some of the most recognizable celebrities on Earth.
Too Manhattan for you? Perhaps Hipster wunderkund Lena Dunham, Patrick Stewart (Captain Jean Luc Picard), or Nucky Thompson (our personal favorite downtown Brooklyn celebrity sightings) are more your speed?
Of course, we New Yorkers are far too cool to start snapping photos or asking for autographs. But even the most hardcore of locals has felt that special rush of recognition and excitement that comes from stumbling upon a bona fide celebrity sighting.

As a Manhattan-based apartment reviews startup, we felt it was our civic duty to help our fellow New Yorkers properly (and privately) account for their most notable neighbors. So today we release the Rentenna NYC Celebrity Star Map for 2013.

Norah Jones in Cobble Hill, Paul Giamatti in Brooklyn Heights, Michelle Williams in Boerum Hill (Anne Hathaway lives in Boerum Hill as well, NOT park slope) Maggie Gyllenhal in Park Slope, Rosie Perez in Fort Greene, Carrie Russel in Carrol Gardens, Lily Taylor in Cobble Hill, Hope Davis in Boerum Hill just to start.
Amanda Seyfried and Alex Baldwin reside in the same bldg on east 10th st. Alec is not in Gramercy Park…You left out Chris Noth on East 9th street for example. Real New Yorkers used the Acris website to look up celeb addresses. This is all public information.

You guys should put some Broadway peeps on there! I mean, a couple of those people have done Broadway work (Kelsey Grammer, Daniel Radcliff) but they aren’t actual Broadway stars and Broadway is a BIG DEAL to me and to New York City!
